Wassim Khoury is a surgeon who has always been attentive and focused on the well-being of his patients.
He knew how to put his know-how within the reach of all. It happens regularly to him to have to adapt to a degree of technical equipment different from that which it has in Paris. He has repeatedly had to massage the heart of the patient for an hour and this in full operation, waiting for the recovery of the heart / lung machine used on another patient by another team or having to supplant himself a machine failure; he may have to modify the implant and the surgical technique for lack of adequate equipment.
Professor Wassim Khoury is an experienced surgeon who knows how to adapt to the people and equipment available on site.
He regularly collaborates with his colleagues from other clinics in the Arab world and the Maghreb.
He undertakes and participates in humanitarian missions in the Arab world (Near and Middle East) and in Mali, and in the Maghreb.
He is also a man who is resolutely focused on Peace, investing in projects that are close to his heart, access to education and culture for the greatest number.

He gets involved and engages in humanitarian missions in which he participates, or that he mounts himself. Its involvement is mainly in the Arab world (Near and Middle East) and in Africa (Mali, Mauritania, in Algeria in Oran and then in the Maghreb).

With the outbreak of the war in Iraq, he set up missions every two/three months in Aleppo to operate on children with heart defects, children from neighbouring countries and conflict zones.
While Professor Khoury’s humanitarian missions were primarily and predominantly childhood-oriented, with 20/25 surgeries during one week, he also operated on adult patients in emergency and without resources.
