In parallel with humanitarian missions, Wassim Khoury develops a partnership with abroad.Regular missions allow him to transpose his knowledge and know-how to his colleagues in the Middle East, Middle East, Maghreb.
Madrid (Spain) March 1992.
A one-day conference and workshop was organised by Cryolife-Mediset Laboratories so as to
inform and train Spanish cardiologists and surgeons on the use of cryopreserved homografts.
Oran (Algeria) - October 1992.
Information day as part of the scientific collaboration between the Professor Leca, Hospital Laënnec of Paris cardiac surgery department and Professor Iles, CHU Oran’s cardiology department:

Conferences on homografts.

Consultations and follow-ups of children who have had homograft sites.

Consultations and follow-up of children undergoing mitral surgery and aortic valve replacement.
Dhahran (Saudi Arabia) - November 1992.
As part of a collaboration contract between the KFMMC of Dhahran (Military Hospital) and the CHU Necker – Enfants Malades (program led by Professor EVEN), a cardiological symposium was organized.
The main purpose of this trip was the on-site study of an equipment project for a cardiac surgery center: evaluation of local possibilities (architecture, budget, recruitment).
A comprehensive study report was then provided to Professor EVEN and Saudi local authorities.
In this project Laënnec’s cardiac surgery department took care of the medical and surgical part; to know :

Recruitment of medical and paramedical personnel.

Staff training on the spot and in Laënnec.

A rotation of surgeons to operate and train the surgical team on site.

Missions three or four times a year.

Receive at Laennec hospital complex congenital heart disease.
This project has been postponed due to budgetary problems.
Damascus (Syria) - May 1995
At the invitation of Professor S. Kabani, head of the Cardiac Surgery Center of the University Hospital of Damascus, and organized by the Franco-Syrian Medical Association (AMFS), Professor Leca, Dr. Haydar (resuscitator) and Wassim Khoury carried out a mission medico-surgical:
Conferences.

Visits of the different centers.

Consultations (children with complex congenital heart disease).

Participation in the operating program.

Meeting of two ministers (health and national education).
A collaborative program has been established between Professor Leca and Professor Kabani.
Subsequently, a twinning contract was signed between Professor Leca and Dr Sukar, Director of the Basel Assad Cardiological Institute in Damascus.
Casablanca (Morocco) since - 2010
He is in regular contact with the confreres of Casablanca in Morocco.
Algiers (Algeria) July 2018:
Since 2018, he regularly officiates at the Chahrazed clinic in Algiers. Missions that are intense but very rewarding on both sides.
Dubai (United Arab Emirates) - September 2018
With the Zulekha Clinic in Dubai, he is in the process of implementing a pediatric surgery project with a collaboration between the French team and Dubai.
